The winter fishing season is officially underway here in Key Largo, and the bite has been fantastic aboard Sea Spirit Charters! Cooler temps have brought in some of our favorite winter fish — sailfish, wahoo, king mackerel, and blackfin tuna are all showing up offshore.
Along the reef, baitfish schools are moving through, and the sailfish have been chasing them right up to the surface for some thrilling action! The yellowtail snapper bite is strong on the reef edge, and we’re seeing more grouper sliding in shallow as the water cools down. You might even find the occasional mahi still hanging around offshore!
